I can’t believe that we have been absent for nearly a year now. There is absolutely no excuse other than we have all been flat out busy!
We are all studying, all being supervised, all supervising others, and all working hard! We have worked hard as a team this year to carve out time for team meetings, for additional training and also time for one another. That is easier said than done when your heart’s desire is to work with children, teens, adults and families and to see them all have their breakthrough.
As you will see over the coming weeks and months, facilitating breakthrough for others isn’t sustainable unless we put our own health and wellbeing at the fore. As most of you will know, I suffered a back injury and a loss the year before last that forced me to re-think the way that I live my life. I am happy to say that I am in full and fighting health and that I now have a great balance and boundaries to help me the very best at everything I am called to do in this ever-so-full season: a mummy to two amazing young children, a behaviour analyst, a team leader, a member of our amazing church, a daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend.
I would love to share this journey with you and my team would love to share some of their journey with you over the coming month. Each month we will loosely choose a topic and each week write a blog within this topic. It will be a mix of thoughts, science, practice, personal testimony and the successes and battles of those we work with.
