We’ve all heard how important regular exercise is, but it can be really helpful for managing anxiety. When we experience anxiety, our muscles can tense up, and begin to feel tight, doing 30 minutes high intensity exercise for at least 30 minutes 3 times a week can be helpful in releasing the stress that can be held within your body.
For your child…
You can turn this into an activity with your child. Whether it is going to the park, and playing a game such as tennis, or kicking a football around, walking to school as quickly as possible, or even tidying their room together, activities that increase our heart rate help to moderate the anxiety we feel physical.
