Last week we discussed the type of damage done by ‘inappropriate thoughts’. This week we will discuss the good news that we can change our thought-life to undo damage already done and prevent any further damage.
It is important to watch yourself as you go through the day. Make yourself aware of what you are thinking and start to replace undesirable thoughts with more desirable thoughts. The first few days you will just start to make yourself of the thoughts crossing your mind. It is important to build pockets of ‘silence’ in your mind where you can begin to learn to introspect.
We are in complete control of our thoughts and of our observable behaviour. It is a moment by moment thought choice that we make, but before we can make that choice about what we are thinking we need to learn what are thoughts are and the hundreds of thoughts we have each minute. The good news, though, is that practice makes perfect and that WE make that choice.
